The familiarity of his embrace, hurt, but she knew that she could not hold on the past. Not after what has happened to her. Nothing is easy in this life, she has learned this the hard way. Then his apology comes, he admits his jealousy, her crystal blue eyes fall on his face. "It's okay Lyden, I understand your jealousy. Things have been complicated since I left the Forest. Nothing is black and white." She turns her face away from him, she can not bare to look him in the eye. She knew what grew inside of her, and soon he would too. Her sorrow tugs at her heart, maybe if she would of stayed in her homeland, on her peaceful island. This would of never happened.
Then, his words came. The question that she knew tugged at him. She could see the curiosity behind those clear blue eyes. She knew that he could see the frailness of her body beneath the scruffy winter coat. She was unkempt, and well, ugly. She clears her throat as his question finally exits his lips. Surprisingly it hit her, she had originally thought she was ready to speak of that night, but she was hesitant.
"Umm," She begins, then she loses the courage to look him in the face, so she focuses off in the distance. Then she begins again. "I was caught unguarded, I fought back, but it was useless. He was strong, and he overpowered me." She ends her sentence with a heavy sigh, but she holds herself together.
