She is given into this world second, but she is the first to truly observe. While the three other siblings that had been with her since their moment of awakening were crying and yapping needlessly, the almost all coal black pup save for the tips of her ears and chin was silent. Not yet did she know exactly that she infact lacked such a voice- but there was no reason in her little mind to be calling out as so. Theree was simply no want to part her jaws and yap yap away like all the rest of them were doing. However, there was the want to move and for warmth, and so it was with shaky unblanced paws that she attempted to drag herself closer to her Mother. The newborn could not see all the wolves around her, as there seemed to be many compared to the company of three she has endured the past months, but she could certainly feel them. Big as a den as it might be, the large, looming bodies of the male was something that was foreign and unknown to her, but slowly was she finding herself getting used to it. One of the big figures seemed to be familiar to her, how yet, she did not know, but she did know that the warmth of her Mother was just in front of her. It was content silence that greeted the warmth of her Mother's teat, her small jaws finding purchase upon the succulent nipple and greedily drinking down her life force. This was mission enough for one so new and fresh in the world, and though still the second born made not a sound, all was well within and without. She could not and did not know that her eldest brother and herself had almost killed their Mother, and they might never know unless someone were to tell them so in time. But that was for adults and for not the new young ones having just only come into the world. Mayhaps Fate would be kind this day, and let Everlyse remain so that she may know her children as they were to be some day. |
