Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Tesseract,

If I had not gone alone, my Potentate, your pack would have been without their leader. Better I be trapped alone than to leave your pack without the sensible Head of State, right?

Please, do not risk yourself, Tess. You arriving here would not make it any easier for me to swim across with you again, if I could even help you survive the hypothermia and pneumonia thereafter. I am not your Riopat, not even remotely, and I cannot imagine what it would do to me to be the reason you endangered or lost yourself.

I have food, I have herbs, I have water. I will wait, I will stay warm in my den, I will stay safe on the high ground in the pines of the heights nearest to Diveen. I have and will continue to take care of myself.

Promise you will howl to me. I will visit these shores every evening simply for a glimpse of you from afar, but I will miss the sound of your voice. Tell me of your days, of what we might do when the way is open for us again.

I wish we could have spoken as I had intended, I had so much to say…

I must bid you goodnight, my alpha. I will need to sleep well in order to build my stores before the animals all go to ground or leave the island entirely. I will wait for you to call on me tomorrow.

Health and Affection,
