The world is dark and cold but I am stronger. I will survive. I don't feel the urge to cry out and announce my birthing to the world. They will know of me soon enough. Everyone will know of Cuirass and Kronos for we will be an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. I feel his warmth beside me as we suckle at our mother's teats. He doesn't try to push me aside and take it all for himself, as if he knows we must both be strong for the world around us. I am greedy and I want more, always more, but I won't take from him either, for he is my brother. My blood stained fur brushes against his snow white and I am comforted by his presence, just as I am comforted by the scent of my mother and another male. I hear his deep rumbling voice but it doesn't bother me. It strengthens me. Once I am full, I curl up against my mother, drawing heat from her and my brother as I settle my head on his back. We will be strong for each other. We will survive and conquer this dark world. It will be the one fearing the dark when we're done with it.
