The dappled boy was in a relatively good mood today, after all his least favorite season had finally given way to the warmth of the spring sun. He stretched after sunbathing among the roots of maple tree, feeling his shoulders pop. He had a rather successful hunt last night his belly was full, not even his broken ear could ruin his mood. His mouth opened wide as a yawn forced itself out, and then gave a few disobedient tufts of fur on his chest a few quick licks. Pacing forward with no particular destination in mind, for once nothing seemed to bother him.
He soon found himself at the entrance to what looked to be an underground cave. While he had heard of the caves being opened up after the shaking of the earth a few years back, he had never actually made the time to explore them. Right now seemed to be the perfect time; after all it wasn't like he had anything better to do. Confidently he walked into the dark depths of the earth, secretly looking forward to exploring the underground. After a few hours of exploring he found that he quite liked it, almost more than his cozy loner den in the Crags. However this place, as he would imagine, was probably a magnet for loners. It provided everything; shelter, food, and water. He walked into a cavern that opened up to a waterfall, seating himself and fixating on it while weighing his options about moving to the network of caves.
