Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

mana

She had come back to Glorall a short while ago, having taken the paths from the mountains and across the valley until she felt the salt in her fur once more. It was not as if she was bored or hated the mountain or even the wolves there, it was just that she missed Rogue and the long stretches of beach to run along. It seemed that her father had not been feeling well either and whereas she wanted to do something, there wasn't much somebody like her could do. So, she had taken it upon herself to give him space and in turn, give herself some fresh enjoyment. Besides, she didn't want her mother to feel left out or that she had been forgotten! After all, Mana loved nothing more than to twirl about Rogue's feet all day with questions and answers.

However, when she had arrived, she had come to a pack where she could not find Rogue. Her scent was still as strong as ever but after an hour or more of searching, meandering through the pack at least, she could not be found. It was then that Mana decided to find her way to the river that ran to the ocean, to where she had hunted the platypus so long ago. There, she supposed, she'd entertain herself, throwing small stones with her jaws and kicking them into the water with sloppy splashes. She felt so young and so helpless sometimes and now was one of those times. She didn't know why - it was just a feeling, a heavy one at that. It felt as if something just wasn't quite right with the tilt of the planet or the scent of the sea. It was just... crooked. Hell, she even flopped down on one of the large flat rocks that jutted out into the water, her paws dangling into the slow moving current as she stared down into its depths. What was hiding under there anyway?

For some time, she had fallen asleep like that, sprawled out idly in the spring sun. She fell so still that she might have practically blended into the stone; that was, until she smelt the thick scent of blood and heard a splash upstream. It was then that she awoke, her mismatched eyes sliding open to watch as strings of crimson flowed down in front of her. They danced in the water for some moments before washing away into nothing but her eyes sought to follow them up, finding immediate excitement in the figure she found.

It was unmistakable, of course. She'd never mistake her mother for anybody else. In an instant, Mana had risen and begun to lope forward, her head tilted slightly as she observed the last remnants of blood wash away from Rogue. It was not at all wolf blood, however. It seemed to be the blood of prey and yet, even she hadn't managed to get so messy as a child. So what was going on?

"Ego eram vultus pro vobis."

I was looking for you. She stated it simply before taking a seat on the banks a short distance from her mother as she shook the water off herself. Still, Mana observed with an eager interest, glancing behind her mother to watch as the last webs of red left sight.

"Have you been hunting?"

She asked then, glancing back to meet her mother's eyes with an inquisitive little grin. Whatever the case, Mana was glad to have found her - let the questions and answers begin!
