Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She withdrew her head but not without hearing the scraping of others and it seemed the distance was not far from here. She couldn’t bare to resist rolling her eyes. She perhaps did enjoy playing such games but never in the rain. Though the rain didn’t bother her as much as she let on it still gave good excuse for lazing around although she hardly had many things to keep her occupied. Yet was that such a bad thing? Maybe but it lead her to be creative in many ways. She often found hunting most pleasurable and it was certainly rewarding she could keep her self well cared for while others starved or suffered the harshness of the winter lacking nutrients.

She had went to sit under the thick canopy of a tree before she was intercepted and yet she still managed to get out of the heaver sheets of rain. She thought carefully as she studied the faces of the two males before her. She was not a fan of the odds against her but she was interested in her meal even though its capture involved little effort she would not relinquish it so easily by a charming smile or intimidation. No, but this did invite a challenge of its on right perhaps. She knew how scavengers worked and in pairs would be more difficult but she would see.

She dropped the the lifeless corps from her jaws licking her bloodstained maw. She made no effort to run or pull it toward her, no… She admitted games and perhaps this would be the most intriguing she’s had in a long time. Her tail waved lightly behind her as she tilted her head to the side ever so briefly. “It is lovely I suppose to some… What brings you both out in such horrid conditions?” concerned rolled off her tone as though she was speaking to pups it even touched her eyes and yet she was curious if they would see through her ruse or play along. It didn’t matter because as much as she enjoyed a bit of roughhousing she was not in the mood to be against two wolves over her size and weight but and she quickly began thinking of an easy escape for her and her meal.
