Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was a quiet delight to see her so pleased with herself, or the situation at least, though he could not help but wonder why that was. Of course, beginning an alliance was brilliant work but he'd never considered it to be so... joy inducing. Then again, there were a lot of things that he did not know, particularly when it came to this girl. Though he had not been in Iromar for so long, many of the same wolves dwelt there. Fresh blood - particularly, fresh successful blood - was not exactly something that came along often. So, just who was she and why was she so pleased? All in good time, he had to remind himself.

He nodded quietly at her proposition, remembering back to what the swamps had been like in the warmer months. He did not recall so easily, though he certainly remembered how wonderful they could be after the summer rains had gone and passed. The swamps were full then with fresh water that washed down into the rivers and often, the persistent boggy smell lifted. It would be as good a time as ever, though he hadn't a clue who would go. Praetor, he supposed, and perhaps Octavia if she so desired. Perhaps Riopat would be feeling up to it with her children, or at least Mortz might be willing to make some company there. Rogue? She had family there, though she hadn't seemed too pleased when she had returned. He didn't want to push whatever that issue might be at this point, though. He'd give her space.

"But of course, summer sounds brilliant. I will send a scout ahead of time to ensure your Alpha is accepting company."

Nonetheless, he agreed wholeheartedly with a broad grin and a definitive nod. It seemed, hover, that Raven's attention fleetingly moved away from him and towards the rolling blue of the ocean. It did not surprise him and certainly did not offend; instead, he chuckled quietly as he too glanced towards the expansive beach with a look of subtle awe. He'd never grow sick of watching that ocean and certainly not of the sand and salt that mingled with the air. Selfish? He gave her a quizzical glance at that comment but shrugged it off all the same.

"Have you not seen such a place before? I would gladly show you now, Raven, if you have the time."

Be it now or later, he did not mind. It would make for a good excuse to relax just a while longer, and perhaps it would end up doing both he and her good.
