Mansfield Motorsports Park has established its 2015 special event schedule with five major programs under contract and the sixth waiting for signatures. Saturdays in Mansfield are about to be very entertaining.
There has been a lot of conversation concerning the four and six cylinder racers. There was no room for the ever popular compact cars and little pickup trucks on Saturday night. The decision was made to schedule these cars on Friday nights running on the quarter mile track located inside the half mile. The evening will be exclusively for these race cars. It is not for professionally built racers but a place to race absolutely stock cars economically for fun only. If you are a racer that takes your racing super seriously and is looking for a big payday this is not for you. The Friday night races are trophies to the winners and the cost to the racers and fans is a mere $15 for either the pits or the grandstand. If a fan wishes to leave his or her seat and visit the pits there is no extra charge. The Friday series will begin May 29th and run for sixteen weeks in a row. As always, kids 12 and under are always free.
