At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

It was the faint rumble beneath her pillars that drew the tainted huntress to the place of seclusion. Subtle mist emitted from along the shelves of the falls, the thickening layers seeming to clasp around her well-structured silhouette as if enclosing her in her own little region. It wasn't often that she could convince herself that a place was as tranquil, although there had been little hesitation before her tainted appendages had leisurely stretched before her to act as a support for her cranium. Upon approach, the heartbeat of the chute had intensified in volume, sounding as a dull roar that thundered throughout her porcelain audettes and pounded beneath the smoothed surface in which she lay. However, she had managed to find some peace within the constant notion, her chilled portals surveying the small cascade of water impassively for a short moment's time before, despite her disapproval, her lids had begun to stubbornly slide closed.
