Time seems to stand still. Breaths are shallow as orange eyes are fixated on him, afraid if she glanced away he would disappear. The sight of him invokes nothing but happiness she is not even sure she could process negative emotions towards him no matter what he had done. His disappearance had pained her but never had she grown angry at him, she felt guilty thinking perhaps she had done something or perhaps the news of Ifrit had driven him away. Seeing him now is like balm to her aching soul. A puzzle piece fitting it's way in to complete a lasting image. Her heart seems to soar in hopes he is truly real, pounding against her chest as her body remains immobile. At his movement she flinches, preparing to spring on him should he try and leave but soon does she settle when she see's that instead of moving away he moves towards her. She waits on baited breath, watching his body crawl and eat away the inches that separate them.
Then the defining moment, her body strung tight as his muzzle reaches out. So afraid she would not feel anything if he weren't truly here but what she finds at the touch causes her to melt instantaneously. He was real and she was home. A stuttering breath is exhaled as she leans into his touch. Her body feels as if it is floating, on a high unlike anything Haziel had given her. She feels rejuvenated by that simple touch that spoke so much. As her own muzzle finds his cheek and returns the gesture rewarding him with the same emotions with no words. He licks and she sighs happily, the sound so loud in the silence. Her soul repairing itself in this reunion. No longer does it feel heavy and dark at his loss, but complete and light with his return. A single tears falls from one eye at this, revealing her happiness that he was once again by her side where she hoped he would stay... forever.
As he pulls away she cannot help the whimper that escapes or the fact her muzzle follows him. She does not want the distance he now gives. Orange eyes blink at the movement of his paw, as it lay atop hers. A sad smile on his lips. For a moment fear coils tight in her belly thinking he was about to shatter this bubble with something bad. A look of fear until the words that form on his mouth ease her. His apology is heartfelt and she can feel it sing in her soul, a gentle smile on her lips as she watches more form and eyes watch in rapt attention hanging on each letter that falls. Her tail is the first to react as it thumps within the soil. Then her body, for even in the ache she pushes herself into him, her muzzle buried within his chest as she breathes him in. Nuzzling and licking. As rasped words escape,
"I have missed you so much." Breathing him in.
"You are back that is all that matters." She grins happily and into his coat before stirring, pulling her head back to look at him with eyes filled with adoration. Before a sound pulls her away from him, her children's snores filtering in as she blooms at the warmth in her chest. Turning back to her shadow stalker.
She is almost hesitant to speak unsure how he will take the next words, hoping their reunion would not be shorted but she needs him to see them, to know them. Her children by Ifrit.
"Do you see them?.." She questions.
"I almost died for them.." She pauses briefly.
"Vladimir is the red giant, Panzer my white son, Semele my lovely little flower, and Camilla my silent shadow." She looks at him orange eyes watching for his reaction to this news. She doesn't know what she will do if he rejects them, which in turn would reject her for those little ones had won her over everyone. She was theirs first and foremost. Yet she hopes he can care for them, show them that gentle heart that even she cannot deny. As silence surrounds them and she waits to see just how he will take this in the midst of their reunion.
