At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Jixer
i've got a migraine

It's so funny how some wolves can dream. Some see vivid scenes play out in their tiny little heads as they sleep, seeming so real, so tangible. Only to open their eyes hours later and poof... it's gone. Such a silly concept. And what's more, some of them actually wake up feeling like they actually did these things! Jixer would never understand the world and it's many mysteries, not that anyone really would. Perhaps, though, everyone did understand the world to it's full potential, but it just happened in sleep and no one was able to remember it when they awoke. Quite often, the adolescent thought of things in kin to this. Now, of course, no one knew what could be going on in his fragile little cranium. None but he would be able to unravel the thoughts swimming up there as he slept but him, and that's being generous.

Was it a dream or was it real? There was presence, another wolf. So close, and getting closer. Something tickled his mind, telling him that this wasn't right, that something was wrong, very wrong. The smooth, sharp ivories sliding around his supple golden neck, was that real? It couldn't be. But could it? A slight uneasy moan escaped him as he slumbered away. He could have sworn he heard a sickly sweet voice speaking to him, the poisonous undertone unsettling. The whispers seemed so real, so real.... "Choose wisely." The two words floated to him through the smokescreen of sleep, sounding sluggish and slurred.

Reflexively, though still unconscious, Jixer pulled his body tighter into his protective ball. By doing so, the all too real daggers gently prodded into his soft flesh. The sensation swam to him as the words had and at first his slumbering mind brushed off. But the next time he moved, it pressed the teeth deeper into him, sending alarm bells ringing throughout his noggin. With a start, his lids flew open, exposing startled golden gems. A feral, desperate growl ripped from his chest as he attempted to pull away from the other wolf. His fangs snapped warningly as he attempted to take in his current predicament. The girl was so close to him, a lethal look in the eyes Jix could barely see out of the corner of his own. Fear didn't sweep through him, though the panic still coursed through his veins. Quickly, anger was racing to match it, his snarl morphing from surprise to rage.

This is exactly the kind of situation he had hoped to avoid.
