Re(6): Bradbury's house demolished?

Cheers for the local residents in your area who saved the beautiful old building.

A similar story from my community -- there was one last "stately home" on the main business street here -- across the street from a funeral home. The house had been empty for decades. Something must have happened to the owners, as suddenly it was on the market. The funeral director announced his plans to buy it, raze it and turn it into a parking lot for his funeral home.

Alas, the local citizenry was simply struck dumb by all this, and did nothing. (Typical of our community.) But someone with some $$$ bought it, painted and polished it, restoring its original beauty, and it is a stunner. Reportedly they are going to open a bed-and-breakfast and tea-room.

Hope they make enough to buy the funeral place, raze it and turn it into a parking lot.
