Theft is not tolerated here at Lunar Children and that includes HTML, so be sure to get permission if the source doesn’t explicitly state that it’s free to use.

Notice regarding the use of uncredited images.

Hi guys,

It's incredibly important to ensure any artwork you use is correctly credited and those credits are visible. Please ensure you ask for permission to use artwork that you find from the original source; if you need to re-size an image and the credits become too small to read, please consider placing an appropriate credit into the HTML or post you are making.

If you are having issues finding the original source of an artwork, you can try Google Reverse Image Search or even TinEye. If you still cannot find the original source, don't feel bad - simply ask a Staff member for their opinion. Some artwork, for example, is public domain. However, it is best to assume it is not until you are absolutely certain.

It is in our rules, after all. However, this is just a reminder to all members to keep an eye on their own usage. Typically speaking, generic backgrounds and textures are free to use; however, personal artwork such as photomanipuatlions, sketches, digital or traditional paintings are not. Linking to an image in the form of a < href > tag is not a problem, as it will link to the original source. For example, placing a click to see visual representation link is not an issue at all so long as the image itself is not used.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask! I will be making a small sweep through the Lab over the next few days and posting what information I can find for those that have not credited their images.

Thank you and happy posting!
