The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

You will stop talking, mutt, or I'll pull your guts out through your eye sockets. Halina managed a small chuckle but then grimaced as a sudden shock of pain swept through her. The initial tingling caress was diminishing, replaced by agonizing stabs. Kershov's eyes fell upon her and she felt stupid, idiotic really. If she had only seen the bigger picture in the beginning, if she had only recognized the brute for the monster that he was from her past... if she had actually thought before rushing into action, using her usually beautiful brain instead of relying upon her brawn... They would not be in this situation. You will repay him again, Halina. I promise. The titan suddenly lunged, ensnaring the fiend who had poisoned the pair of them in his maw, a sudden noise ringing in her auds as he dislocated Draven's limb from his shoulder.

Draven howled in pain but even afterward, he laughed maniacally. Kershov's daggers swept upward, clawing at the brute's facing, blood emerging immediately, trailing down his sleek fur, into his eyes, staining his sclera til he looked like a demon that had clawed its way up through earth and soil and rock from the depths of hell. The grime upon his pelt from her dragging him into the center of the terra had mixed with his blood, giving him an eerie color, only contributing to his appearance. Halina shut her eyes as limbs, wings, and claws began to erupt from him... delusion had set in. However, blocking out her vision had it's own set of problems. Suddenly she was stuck in a storm, lost at sea, waves tossing her too and fro from the vertigo upsetting her balancing system. Her stomach began to quake and she heaved, upchucking the remains of the coney she had had for lunch on the ground in front of her, and she decided that whatever she could see would not be as bad or as embarrassing as vomiting in front of her lord.

Do what you will to me, I did not come here expecting to live. My plan is a success, I will face my fates willingly. You cannot do anything to me that she has not already done. She gave me pain, but moreso she ruined my reputation and my future. Do what you will, I will enjoy the look on your face as you watch her die. Little did he know of Kershov, or of his knowledge of torture. He had little imagination, his one goal achieved, he had no care or fear, his rapture masking the pain in his body.

Kershov moved to her side. Come. We're getting you help. I won't leave you alone. Halina nodded partly but stopped as pain ricochetted throughout her joints. Slowly, she brought her feet beneath her and attempted to stand but after a single step, she faltered and fell forward, scuffing her chin upon the earth. It was now no longer weakness, but ataxia. She could not tell where her limbs were, and they were becoming increasingly less mobile. "My limbs... won't do...won't move...right." Grimacing, she stood again, legs splayed. Turning her deep azures down, she picked up a single leg and immediately began to sway. Leaning forward slightly she moved her limb and placed it where she was looking. But if she looked away for a moment, she realized she had no idea where her paws were. She could not feel the ground beneath her on her pads... but she could feel each and every movement she made. It felt as if all of her bones were breaking. Still, she walked forward, whimpering with each step. Her progression was slow, and multiple times she almost fell but managed to catch herself, either by splaying her leg out like a newborn fawn or by falling into Kershov.

By some meaning of luck, she managed to get to the edge of Abendrot, but there she stopped, her limbs freezing and refusing to bend or move. She was frozen, panting, working hard to catch her breath as slowly, her diaphragm began to slacken. "I...can't...move. Grant me... DEATH!" She screamed as waves of pain rolled over her, but she was aware of the depth of Draven's insanity... he had likely chosen a poison that would roll on for days. She had been affected for mere hours... she could not take days of this pain. What she feared more, however, was the chance that Kershov, too, would succumb to this. If he left her, he could probably save himself if he knew a healer. "At the ...very...l...least... leave me... Save...yourself." Tears that she could not control streamed down her cheeks as her tongue stiffened, preventing further speech. She felt so weak, so helpless, and her mind ran to her childhood, when she had been much the same, at her peer's mercy and bullying. She had come so far... but in one moment she had been dragged right back to the beginning.

OOC - obviously don't kill her actually please <3
