Former LA City Runner Leads NCAA in 800
IP: 71.243.223.45

Former Los Angeles High School Runner Alex Amankwah leads the NCAA in the 800 with a time of 1:46:86 which he ran at the Vanderbilt (indoor) Invitational competing for the University of Alabama. Apparently he only started running competitively in his junior year and was City Champ in 2010. Has an LA City runner had this much success at the collegiate level before?
