At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Bright Moon has been quiet since the small meeting Summer called together. Summer's been busy at the borders greeting new wolves. I look forward to seeing new faces but so far I've only come across a few. Danger seems like an odd wolf to me and he seems to withdraw when around other wolves, or maybe it's just me. I don't think I've done or said anything that might offend him but without knowing him, how can I be sure? I just hope I get to make up for it.

More females have been joining the pack and I can't say I'm not happy about that. It's been rather lonely around here and I'd like a friend or two to spend time with. I'm thinking about venturing out into the free lands just to see if I meet someone new. Who knows what I'll encounter?

Finally I make a decision, setting out from my den across the pack lands at a mild lope. I'm not in a hurry or anything and the cool breeze feels good as it ruffles through my thick white fur. I'm an arctic wolf straight form the tundra and this is nothing compared to what I'm used to. If anything, I get too hot during the summer months. With no snow on the ground yet, I still feel awkward but that will change soon enough. Right now I just enjoy the nip to the air and breathe it in, letting my lungs relish it.

As I cross the borders, I feel a little lighter. I'm not stressed or anything but being out in the free lands makes anything seem possible. Without really deciding where I want to go, I just take off in a random direction, letting the wind take me where it may.

I end up edging near the lake. The breeze is even colder here so close to the water and the fog is moving in. It feels almost magical. I can hear the frogs croaking and birds squawking as I get closer to the lake. I slow down to a trot, coming to a stop near the edge and taking a seat. The fog rolls in, surrounding me until I can't see anything by my paws on the ground. My skin ripples, a shudder running down my spine. Everything feels so surreal.
