When I see Isola I smile, letting myself stand and my head return her nod in greeting when she approaches. My queen. She is the one who made me see the truth of what I am doing and in that very night, when I had been captured and held in Diveen she told me things I will never forget. She told me about Heyel, she told me how I was attacking them for no reason. I was blaming them for the loss of my beloved children. She touched me deeply in that night and she saved my life. I am marked to death by the assassins and once I came with my daughter to Diveen, I expected only death. If my Ska would only be accepted into the pack, I would face the consequences of my acts and see life taken from me. But instead, Isola saved us both. I owe her my life and I owe the angels my name.

- I will wait, my queen.

My head bowed in respect to her position.

Her words proved to be true as just a moment later Kane arrived. He approached with a nice smile on his face and I bowed my head in respect to him as well. He approached to brush his fur against her own in affection. I admired how each time he saw her he did this kind gesture. He told me they were going to listen to me and for this I was really grateful.

- Thank you, very much. To you both. - my tail wagged - I called you both because after that strange day with Zeus I felt the need to explain to you how he knows me.

I lowered to sit down before them both and looked into their eyes, shifting from one to another as I spoke, the story of Zeus. I would be as brief as I could, knowing I can’t take their time for long.

- I used to be a warrior and tracker in the pack I was born a long time ago. Perhaps pack is not truly the right word with how we used to be. We were a small group, travelling from lands to lands… One day we were attacked by another group of wolves. They outnumbered us. I stayed and fought while my group left me behind...for my group I tried to, but Couldn’t hold them forever. They captured me instead of killing me. dragged me to their alpha and that is how I met Zeus. He saw value in me and chose to keep me as a prisoner. He told me to stay and I refused, loyal to my group.

I knew there was something wrong since the beginning. When he simply ordered his warriors to torture me. Lost count of how many weeks I stayed in that same den. Every once in a while Zeus would come and tell me to stay. He would look me in the eyes and I remember all I saw was a deep determination I could not understand. They seemed to believe he was a god.

Zeus gave me one last chance to join his pack and follow him, but I refused again. He took me to the borders and gave me the scar on my left leg. I found out, many years ago after he released me, the pack split once more. One side said Zeus was too soft to lead such large pack. The other still followed him. and a few became loners. Old allies of Zeus’ united and agreed. I should be hunted down and killed. They believe I started this by filling his warrior’s heads with doubts. I ran. Alone I could never face hundreds of wolves.

But what worried me the most was not even him. The few times I was allowed outside for water and food, everywhere I looked, every little corner, every patch of land for a distance I can’t tell, I saw wolves. Never in my life have I seen so many. -

I stood up in worry.

- My Queen. When he said he had an army and he was bringing them to a war, I… I feared. For all of us. Zeus was speaking the truth, but he didn’t tell you the whole truth. I heard from a few of them that the pack had been split twice because of their numbers. Groups of explorers came left. They searched for new lands. Bigger lands because the one they were in didn’t have enough food for all of them. Or even space…. I respect and came to love Diveen… But if what he said is true, not even us united with our allies would be a match for his numbers. If this war is brought upon Moladion, we would lose so many. And I don’t know what would be of Moladion.

My head lowered as the guilt reached me once more.

- Queen… King… I… I am sorry for bringing up such a wolf to our lands. Our home. I never thought he would find me. Or even be alive after so many years. But if I must, I would go with him. If we need to avoid a war I will offer my life.

My head raised once more to look at them. If they needed and Zeus wanted me. I would offer my life to protect Diveen. It has been me who brought this upon Diveen, upon Moladion. It is my fault. It is so hard to think I would leave my Ska. But it is for her as well. And after all. I have a debt to pay.
