Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I hear her before I see her and a smile tugs at my lips. She's coming. That's better than being ignored. I wait for her, restless. I can only hope that she's spent our time apart thinking. I know I have. Some day I want to be able to congratulate her for her rank as Diomedes but I need us to reconcile first.

When I see her coming, her fast pace sets me off first. My ears flick back a little. What's she doing? Why is she still running? Is she that excited to see me? Then I see the set of her jaw and the way her fang is glistening in the sunlight. Then it hits me. She's going to attack.

I scowl.

"Viora, no. Stop it!"

I yell, hoping to talk sense into her. Of course it doesn't work. She comes right at me and I know Aithne's training is going to have to come in handy a lot sooner than I expected. I never thought I'd have to use it on my own sister. I dodge to the side, feeling the wind as she rushes past me. Her jaws snap, catching the hair of my scruff but I manage to get away from the bulk of it. I cringe as the hairs pull out in her mouth, spinning around to face her. I've now widened my stance, facing her full on.

"Viora, stop this. You've got to talk to me. I know I told you I'm all you've got but I only had it half right. The truth is, you're all I've got. I didn't kill mom. I would have only died with her. You can't keep blaming me for what happened. You've got to forgive me. I won't stop until you do. We're family, blood."
