Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Of all his children, Praetor had been the first. Never before had a son or daughter approached Tesseract about such a matter; even his own mother had been content to merely accept the fact. He had to wonder what her intentions had been, though so far any maliciousness in them had apparently been lost on Praetor. He was a smart son, perhaps, but he had never seemed like the type to become hateful. Still, Tesseract tread carefully, toeing his away around the edges of the question in order to gain a better perspective on Praetor's own intentions. His son spoke firmly, however, and it worked as an assurance. Even if it did? So, there would always be the possibility of things changing. Accepting that possibility had always been one of life's more difficult ordeals.

Praetor wore his father's smirk like it belonged to him, and it made Tesseract's own lips peel back into an amused grin. He had to admit that he was impressed by Praetor's deductions; who would have known he had been observing his parents so well? Perhaps if he had been betrothed, he would not have questioned whether or not his mother and father might have had the same incidence occur. It was a fleeting thought, one that Tesseract certainly could not stomach for long though.

"You are correct, my son. Your mother and I would never allow a betrothal - it is an archaic thing, after all. However, one must consider every possibility before coming to a conclusion, no?" He paused, letting out a short sigh as he admitted defeat to himself. It was a risky situation, perhaps, but not for the reason one might have assumed. He did not fear backlash from strangers or the other packs lest they discover what Praetor was about to but rather, he feared backlash from his own children. They were all he had, after all.

"Many of those related to us have left, be it these lands or this life. Many years ago, a star fell and took with it my own siblings. In Iromar, there are more children of Ruvindra. I do not know them, however. All I know is that they are as white as she was."

He shifted his weight for a moment, feeling the breeze touch his skin but also feeling his muscles rife with tension. His acknowledgements of his siblings, though not his pure siblings to be sure, had never been made. With Caligula gone, though, he could not bring himself to feel the same animosity he had once had towards them. She had taken that with her - it had been a source of their fighting spirit once but no more. Now, they were just missing names. Vidar, however, needed to not be mentioned. He had seen Caligula's hatred firsthand and yet he had never accepted that Tesseract had saved him that day. For that, he remained a threat.

"There is one other, too. An aunt of yours taken to Diveen by her father. Her father was Vague - or Voltaire as he claims to be now. He was a blight to Ruvindra. As such, that aunt has been kept from us all."

"Is there... more you wish to know Praetor? None of your siblings have ever come to me in such a way. It is... new."
