On Saturday, while addressing the monthly gathering of the Dayton Legends Softball Club (DLSC), I told the story of Flip Lucas and how honoring him at a brand new function back in 2006 called the Softball "Legends of the Game" drew its inspiration directly from the DLSC.
Also included in that first class of Legends was Lou DeSaro, Jim Zink, Bev Weng, Floyd Bedwell, and Ray "Rinbo" Allen.
I'm saddened to report that another of our Softball Legends has passed.
Flip Lucas passed on Saturday.
