Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He had to admit he missed his littermates; he had been missing them before they left. Even should they not understand why he had done what he did, he still cared for them. Before they had left he had been sneaking around training his body, and worrying that the rest of his family would be concerned over his choice of career. Just like his siblings he still cared for his mother as well even if he didn't approve of her choice in the company that she kept, and had felt the need to be heard on the matter by remaining silent. Occasionally during his vigil on mother's den he had seen Myra emerge from the opening to watch the stars; and while she had he watched for danger. He had always thought she was an interesting one.

Maybe he should have circled around and gone approached upwind from her, but he didn't think of that at the moment; being much too focused on get answers and meeting his half-sister as soon as possible. As he pokes her with his nose, she jumps causing him to do the same at her sudden action. She falls off the rock with a startled yelp, and lays there still for a moment; probably in shock. 'this may be not the best way to get her attention.' he thinks to himself as he jumped on the rock she just fell off and looks over the edge at her, a bit unsure of how to proceed. He jumped down beside her as she recovered; he resisted the urge to shake, as she got to her feet and shook sand everywhere including onto him. She turns to him seemingly friendly enough, this was truly the first time he had approached her and felt it was long overdue.

She looked at him with curiosity that turned to confusion when he spoke, but he wasn't quite sure why she did. It was his turn to be confused as her mouth moved; mimicking his own words back him; but no sound came out. She had yelped, which meant that she wasn't mute like his other sister Nari; however she didn't speak, nor did react to his voice. He had heard of wolves that were unable to hear, and considering how little she had been around mother, it was a possibility that she was one of these wolves who had yet to learn how to speak. He was about to test this theory, when she looked back and got distracted by the grey animals now leaving. Silently he decided that he'll have to help teach her to speak, if not communicate.

He waited patiently for her refocus on him, and when she did he had to admit it was adorable how when tail wagged most of her body wiggled with it. His own tail gave a few enthusiastic wags of its own, as she ran up to him with a smile on her face. He soon found her beneath him looking up at him from between his font paws, before he really register the sudden closeness. In the rather cozy space between them he got the answer to his earlier question, mother's scent was stale as it could be on a pup of hers. He felt a deeper sense of guilt; she had been left behind all this time.... he could have been there for her. He didn't know if she knew any of her father's side, all this time that he was alone, she was as well. Well he was going to be spend much more time with her starting right now, not like he was super busy anyways, and if he was he would make it work. He side stepped over her, and then dropped to a play bow with a small 'woof'; surely she knew this body language enough to know it said play. Should she come forward he'd dart a little ways away, and once again drop to a play bow; a game of catch me if you can, if you will.
