Honest as he is polite, I find that I like this Achilles of Glorall, this Sinclair. I can see the sympathy he has for me in his violet eyes that remind me much of my own family, when I speak of them. All I give him is a discreet nod, for I accept his feelings toward it. He may understand more than I know, but I am simply glad that he understands any to begin with. A lot of wolves could have taken the information differently, or in another light, but he is all business and manners. I like this about him, and perhaps I may gain more than a teacher from this day. I would like that, I think. It does not take him long to get straight to what I asked him for- to help me learn and teach me to fight. He drops his stance and I know there is no way I can get him off his feet. He is far too large and sturdy, and he asks me to try and get a bite in instead. That is a much better tactic, and though I am glad for my training to have finally begun- there is no smile on my slender features as I move.
Before he can completely finish his last sentence I am in full motion, for speed is one of my strongest allies. I move as if I were aiming for his left shoulder, but instead I move past him before turning around on him. I hope that he will be slower in his movement than I, but I know he is experienced and I cannot underestimate him. But I will still try. Finishing off my move, I use my momentum to launch my attack, aiming to nip his left back leg if I can manage. Afterward I waste no time in moving away, putting distance between us as my dark violet eyes search for his own. I hope to have made my mark and if no not put much force into it, but if I missed I would wait only a moment before moving again. He hadn't exactly said try and bite him until I actually did, but I would think it's a given between us. This second time though, I do not lead with a fake move. Instead, I go straight for him only to drop my body low in the last moment.
In my new position, I hope to get a bite to either front leg or ankles, before making a mad dash off and away to the side. Though at such a precarious angle, I find my balance teetering and I just barely catch myself as I stumble further away from him. Looking back to Sinclair, I have not spoken any since beginning as I do not wish to waste my energy, but I must know.. "How was that? Was what I did last- stupid?" Honest sheepishness arose in my voice as I spoke, for I truly wanted to know. Just as I wanted to learn, and learn I would. I was determined, even if I may looked foolish in the process. I did not think Sinclair would judge me harshly for anything, not with those kind violet eyes and honest nature. I waited patiently for his words and any further instructions, for my muscles were warming up and I was eager to know more and be able to utilize my skills. I'm grateful for the Achilles of Glorall on this day and the immediate start to lessons with him. I really did hope I might find a friend in him after all was said and done.
