Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I am the nightmare that became reality

We're animals. We're violent. We're criminal.

The day was relatively mild; the heavy humidity that usually hung over the Lagoon loosening its grasp on this rare occasion. Felony seemingly stood alone, his mud covered figure relaxed; or as much as the brute physically could. His golden eyes were distracted but he wasn't completely unaware and looked to Fallo before the grey stallion even spoke. His wolfish gaze was cold, unwelcoming as it glared at the man who so seemingly chirped a happy tune. Felony was not fooled, Fallo was only trying to irk him and was slowly succeeding. Flaring his nostrils, the delicate skin quivered as he drew in Fallo's scent and once he was done analyzing it, Felony expelled it from his lungs in a harsh snort.

"Brother" Felony practically snarled out the word, mocking Fallo's words. "You do not smell like a brother to me" The brute said, his tone cold as he turned to fully face Fallo. "You smell like a main lander freshly washed up on the shore" Felony's already tilted ears now pressed against his neck, his temper getting the better of him. The Lagoon was slowly dying, the so called brothers of this land no longer doing their duties to keep this strong hold safe. They had grown fat and lazy and now this swamp was left powerless, unable to met even the smallest threats because of its uncaring members.

"So many squanders thinking themselves safe behind the Lagoon's borders. That they make others fear them by mentioning the monsters that live in the darkness yet they forget that they too should fear the monsters in the darkness" Felony's golden eyes glinted with the beast that had lain hidden for many seasons, festering and boiling just beneath the skin after he had become lame and no longer able to go to battle himself. But that did not mean the brute was useless; that he could no longer fight when his blood churned with the need for bloodshed as every stallion as he very well could when the urge overcame him.

The sucking sound of mud came beside Felony and although his eyes did not leave Fallo, one ear did twitch towards the presence of another. "Ruger" he growled out his son's name as the lanky colt stopped along his father's flank. "You are late, boy" Despite the severity of his tone, Ruger did not shy away from the beast that had sired him. "Sorry father" he replied, his young voice soft and unmarred compared to the beast's. An annoyed snort escaped Felony but he picked up his head and although his hooves did not move he seemed to draw back from Fallo rather than on the verge of attacking him.

"Your time of pleasure is over" he said, his tone cold once more but no longer growling as he glared at Fallo. "I have a job for you to do"
