The past season among the pack I had been absent, to say the least. The revelation that my birth parents and I wouldn't be reunited ever, had been a heavy burden to bear and I hadn't taken it well. however now that fall was here, I decided to crawl from the crevice that I called my den and get moving and eating normally again. Shaking the dust from my coat and stretching stiff underused muscles, I found glaring against the sun's rays. 'Why does the sun have to be so bright, it's too early for this.' I think to myself suppressing the urge to crawl back into my hole and be antisocial. Now I was never the most maniacal wolf around, but this was low even for me. Up until now I had been surviving and small rodents and occasionally going out at night to hunt a rabbit, I never went far from my den only eating what I could get within a few meters from the entrance. Still squinting at the sun I began to move, maybe to take walk along the borders or perhaps to free lands, I wasn't quite sure. My fur somewhat messy was twisting as the wind played with, it despite the few attempts I’ve made to tame it in the case of an unannounced concerned visitor decided to stop by; the last thing I wanted to cause concern, even in my unstable emotional and mental state. As I wandered letting my paws carry me where they wanted, my mind was absent behind my golden eyes. Soon found myself at the river's edge, bowing my head to lap up the cold water.
