Dave Rosenthal made a good point to me via email. DO NOT...bring any Ice Melt to the lakes...this reservoir is used for drinking water and they do not want this chemical introduced to the lake.
From Dave: The condition of the ramps Saturday morning will be dependent on the snow/sleet/rain we receive today. Please DO NOT use the ramps if they are ice covered and I strongly advise against use ice-melt as this chemical is not appropriate for use next to drinking water reservoirs. I don’t particularly like all the salt/sand that is placed on the roads either, but that’s another matter.
If the ramps are iced over on Saturday morning we will not open the facilities or may delay opening until the ice is melted by the sun. Temperatures are forecast to be 18 degrees at 7:00 AM. If the lake is ice covered the ramps won’t be opened.

As always, thanks for the update Dave
