Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

truth is beautiful without doubt; but so are lies (ralph waldo emerson)

Eris had a way of drawing him away from the things he was seeking and focusing his attention more firmly onto her. It was in her nature to be this way just as it was in his. Still, when in moments of his own ponderance, his mind drifted to his daughter. He did not think on his silver son Underidge, although he had begun to hear whispers of a silver wolf recruiting for something. Nor did he think on the black and tan figure of Sarabi. They had chosen to be apart from him as children and he was not going to fight for their time. Children had been a thing to be hated in the beginning after all his failed attempts at reconciling with them. Then Sanguine had come along and been his companion for a time and maybe it was the fates cruel twist that she had disappeared. At least they had seen fit to deliver Eris back to him.

There was a confidence in each thing Eris did. The way she laid curled in upon herself, poised to strike like some deadly snake with her wicked eyes that held much knowledge. The way she would unwind herself in that slow procedure, knowing that each stretch of her body was tantalizing as water to a thirsty man. He had no doubt that this winter something would occur between them and even if it did not end in children, he did not care; children, they could be a blessing and a curse maybe. Besides, they would tear the attentions of Eris from him and then he would be forced to care for extra mouths.

Yet the idea of her stomach swelled with his pups, the idea of her tied to him so firmly that it could not be undone - unlike Naamah - well, it drove a desperate need in him. That possessive way that he looked at her with his ears cocked half back as if he would spring upon her at any second and lay claim. No, she would not get away from him, and he would make sure that she would not.

Instead he had plans. He had waited too long in his games with Naamah and he would not do the same with Eris for he would risk another coming along and drawing her attentions away. There could be none of that. Enderly would lose what ounce of sanity he had left when she had arrived back on the scene not too long ago.

He drops the food at her paws and she rises, stretching, with that taunting way of hers that was most seductive. Silver eyes are shadowed with a desire yet he lets her work on her food before they can begin their games in earnest today. "Only for a goddess," he replies smoothly with a flash of teeth in a suave grin. She takes the smaller of the animals and he grabs the larger, eagerly tearing into it with gusto until there are but scraps remaining. Soon some scavenger will come a trotting or flying to them to seek the leftovers and he pushed the mutilated carcass out of range so that it would not begin to stink.

She brushes against him now, tail trailing beneath his jaw, and he turns to follow her body so that for a moment his chest presses against the flanks and he lets her feel him there. Lets her realize how close she is to being taken beneath him if she continues to toy with him, his eyes burning and mercurial. "There is much we could do, Eris," his voice slithers into her as he moves away from her haunches - quite reluctantly - and moves to press his shoulder against her chest to block further movement. "Yet I would know now, goddess," he whispers while pressing his nose against her ear and whuffing slightly, teeth seeking to nip ever so softly against her tender flesh. "I would know that you are my goddess from here on out. That I would be your demon and that we will be a pair." She would know what he meant and his voice was possessive, alluring, and demanding; but what, he thinks, would Eris do?
Enderly.
