Braylen had been watchful; a vigilant father once he had found Isobel and their son. It pained his heart though that he couldn't find Georgiana and their foal. Where had she gone? Often times the painted stallion drifted away; his calls echoing across the Crossing in hopes that she would call back. But by now Braylen knew it was hopeless. Perhaps another stallion had swooped in and took her while his mother had been busy with Peak matters; or maybe the painted mare had even got tired of waiting and fled.
As morning came; the soft pastel colors washing across the sky, Braylen left Isobel and their son dozing safely among the trees. He was ready to get them home but so far Zain had not been strong enough. Braylen knew he was being impatient, the child needed time to figure out his legs and how to work them and he was only a few days old. But he had begun to run and play much stronger and so the stallion walked to the shore now in hopes of seeing calm waters in which he could lead his family home across. But as he came to shore he picked up a scent and fresh tracks in the sand that were quite familiar to him. "Rufina?" he murmured, his ears flicking curiously.
Turning the stallion followed the scent as her tracks disappeared into the grass until he found her staring up at the waterfall. As she leans down to take a drink, Braylen smirks as he edges closer as quietly as possible. Once the painted stallion reached the mare he leaned over and nudged her rather roughly with his shoulder in hopes of sending the mare tumbling into the water.
