Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Just like a waltz

It was peaceful up on my little waterfall by myself. I could look out over the area and see nothing but the beauty of Moladion. There weren't many wolves in the area, and that was apparent by two bucks comfortable enough to fight over the right to rut with an onlooking doe out in the open. I knew I wasn't alone though, that someone wasn't too far away; it was a skill that helped keep me alive on the tundra. You had to always be aware of your surroundings, because everyone and everything wants you dead.

I do not turn to him immediately as he approaches behind me, instead I flick my tail in acknowledgment of his presence. "If you are looking for something to distract you, darlin', I can assure you that I would be eager to do that," his voice is smooth and I can hear the grin plastered over his maw. He continues to push closer and pus the boundaries of a wolf he does not know. He thinks that he's taking away my escape route; little does he know that if I wanted to leave, he wasn't going to stop me, and if he tried, he'd find himself kicked off the edge of this waterfall, with or without a splash at the bottom.

"Pretty lasses ought not traipse alone. It is not nice country here," he says and I almost roll my eyes and snort as I turn to look at my unwanted companion. He was a fairly large male of brown and cream, not bad on the eyes at all. His intentions were so blatantly obvious in his body language and speech that it was almost sickening. Winter made males believe they had a new found power to do whatever the pleased, especially with females. Well it might just be time for this one to be taught a thing or two.

"She worries more for him. With his mind distracted by worrying about pretty lasses, it would truly be a shame if he were to simply fall off the edge," I smirked, finding amusement at this male's belief in my inability to fend for myself. It would take more wit than that to get on top of me and should he try to by force, he'd find that his pretty lass has quite the nasty bite. Despite my years away, ice still flowed through these old bones.

But for now, I would be as pleasant as his behavior would allow, which didn't seem like much from first impression. "Does the traipse expert have a name?" I ask, rising to a seated position on my haunches.

Love what you have, and you'll have more love
You're not dying
Everyone knows you're going to love
Though theres still no cure for crying
