It has been a few weeks since the disasterous run in of Ailith and Seline. Having my imprint and my mate in the same area at the same time is definitely not something to plan for the future. It was easy to see from the moment Seline walked into the clearing with the puppy's body hanging from her jaws just how Ailith felt about her. While my imprint was and still can be a killer when necessary, she doesn't do it for pleasure. She is more pure of heart than she knows and she pushes to see the best in others even when there's nothing to see. She believes in me and I don't think I deserve it. I am a monster and that's what I'll always be. I cannot stop being what I am no more than I can stop breathing. Ailith understands that and keeps telling me how she'll accept the way I am but she can't stand down and let me feed. She defended those pups against me even while trying to defend my soul. I don't get her sometimes.

Seline gets me no hands down. She is the choice of my heart and my mate for life. She is the mother of my children and she hunts at my side. She will never be against me and I know that means something but I didn't like that look in her eyes when she came upon me and Ailith. I understand her anger at seeing me with another female. I would be the same way if I came upon her and someone else though I probably wouldn't have only teased in words. I would have gone for blood. But she knew I had an imprint and she knows how I feel about it, that my feelings for her are just even as my soul cannot say no to Ailith. I'm sure that makes it no better but to open threaten my imprint's life right in front of me? I don't even know how to breach that subject next time I see Seline. Maybe it's best if we just brush over it and move on.

I move into the woodlands, playing with the idea of getting some dinner. The moon is coming up and the sun is going down and the woods are full of life. I pass by two wolves having a little rendezvous. Too easy of prey. I see a family of three moving through the woods heading to the lake. I don't feel like chasing after puppies this time. Finally I settle on the seasoned male sitting by the beginning of the swamp lands. Now that looks like the fight I'm looking for tonight. I smirk and crouch down low, waiting for the right time to spring.
