Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

how long will we blame the devils on our shoulders

I am vaguely aware of him. He sits by the shadows outside the ocean side. He sits and waits, though I do not know what for. Nonetheless, I pay him little attention while he remains so passive. However, I find myself watching him this day most curiously. When he picks up suddenly and begins to depart, I cannot help but follow. I refuse to become a hostage to the territory, after all. His behavior is unusual and I am... insatiably curious. Where does he go? Why with such urgency? As I follow, I am sure I can feel the sensation of the dark girl, Achlys, somewhere behind us. Perhaps I will be able to gift her with some kind of show today. One way or another, I suppose.

I keep my distance as I follow. I cling to the shadows, as quiet as ever as we pass by the ravines of Diveen and into the free lands beyond. The trees begin to rise around us, deepening the shadows as he continues on his little mission. He seems so sure. It is as if he has a very purpose being this deep in the forests.

Soon enough, I see the peaks of Spirane rise above the trees. I take my position in what remains of the shadows, only half my face illuminated by the weak light as I watch on. Wherever he has come, he has found himself company. An older male stands by, seemingly entrapped by the sight of the mountains overhead. My attention, however, remains on the sliver of white that is this male. I remember him distantly, his scent still within my nostrils like stale air. The crags, where he had tasted the steel of my own blood. I had allowed it and now, he will allow me the pleasure of watching whatever oddity he is about to perform. The Shade? I do not know what such a thing is. However, the words mean nothing. It is his actions that are most... curious.

He dives in suddenly, snapping at the older male's posterior with a particular kind of savagery. It is directional, with purpose. Though I feel my skin prickle with excitement, I refrain from partaking anymore than simply observing. Here, I can see it all it seems. Still, I cannot help but laugh so quietly under my breath. I can only hope Achlys has come to see such a thing too. Perhaps, by the end of this, I shall be able to bring her a new thing to explore.
