News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Change is a wicked adversary. One you cannot fight nor punish, it is untouchable, altered by the events that fill our lives. But how much change can one take before they themselves change? For better or worse, change is here and what you do with it, is what determines your life from then on.

Death, so much death. From the birth of her children which almost took her life, to the bear that had taken her giant and brother of his blood. The fever and infection she had faced after being doused in the blood of the bear and tearing open healing wounds was just as frightening as fighting those dark waters she had been in after birthing her children. It was the determination and albeit scolding Haziel whom healed the damage to her body and Reich who healed the damage to her heart. She knew of death, had seen it over and over again but never to someone who meant something to her. Ifrit was not perfect, but he was perfect for her. He had challenged her, bled for and by her, and yet no longer will she see her giant stomping across the plains - but he did leave her with life, four little lives is what she has left of the bloody baron.

Healing after the infection was not easy, her worn and already healing body was not accepting of the added strain and it left her subdued within the den with not even enough energy to snap back at Haziel who made it clear of what he had thought of her last declaration to Ifrit. Reich was there, he is always there. A soothing balm to her charred remains. When she inhaled, he exhaled. When she pushed, he pulled. Always there to show her that fate had given her a light for when the darkness strikes, even when that light is and will always be her shadow stalker. And then the children, those little lives she had created with the bloody baron were growing everyday. They would soon see a year, an entire year. To think that much time had passed is shocking and some of that time had been hard on their lives, she worries for them like any mother and to be faced with everything they have endured she can be nothing but proud of them as well. And it is now, she thinks of them with the recent event that had shaken Asteraia to it's core.

Orange eyes blink warily at the change in landscape yet feet do not deter nor pause as the scenery rolls and changes. Anger fumes in her stomach as it rolls and coils around likes snakes constricting her airways. She was homeless, her children homeless. For some white wolf had come and battled her queen and won. She knows not of what occurred only receiving the message when they had been evicted. Had it not been for Reich and the children she was mighty curious to show those new wolves just what she thought of their intrusion for the life she had planned for her children was falling apart and no mother wants to witness such a downfall. With one final snap of the jaws she never looked back at her plains of wildflowers, orange eyes fixed on any who dare threaten her children as they escaped, and only one place had come to mind. The one place that kept her past and perhaps their future.

Jericho, it is not a name she enjoys remembering or even thinking for that matter but desperate times calls for desperate measures and with a foul taste on her tongue she journeys to the last place she had heard he stayed, where rumors of a silver queen and dragons reigned. She had yet to tell her children of her so called brother, to them he does not exist. "Do not come, until either Reich or I call." The heavy rasp that leaks from her lips is filled with warning and affection, such an odd mixture. As orange eyes linger on her pups, they had grown so much, save for Semele which was still half the size of her siblings. "Protect each other, we will not be long." As she gives them each a parting nuzzle and lick before turning to meet the blue and green of her soul, still yet can she feel her heart beat quicken at the sight of him. As she moves swiftly to his side, glancing back once more hoping her children did not find trouble so close to the borders of Spirane.

She does not plan to go far, for still yet her motherly instincts declare everything a threat until proven otherwise and therefore she wanted them close but out of sight for when he would come, and he would come. For the last time they had met, blood had been shed and words had been spit. But there is a small flicker, almost miniscule in warmth at the idea he had changed and that Spirane would hold a better future than what Asteraia now had.

Pausing at the border, ears flickering back as if listening for unruly children, orange eyes find him again. A lingering sadness buried within as they meet his own, but there is also a fierce determination. Even if that meant seeking out her brother in hopes of shelter she would eat her hate for the sake of her soul and children. As her muzzle buries itself into the warmth of Reich's chest, inhaling his scent. Before pulling back and tilting her head upon the dark night sky, calling to him, the queen, to any who would listen. Wondering if more blood would spill before the dawning of the day.
