Istas still wasn’t feeling right. It wasn’t like the task itself was hard, actually it was ungodly easy. Taviora’s trust seemed to know no bounds, that or their border patrol was lacking. Either way he got the information she wanted, mostly. The girl was fast, her knowledge of the land allowed her the chance to get away from him despite being nothing but speed. She got away before he could question her, not that he thought she would say anything. He was scared too, in fact, to question her but her running away from him was enough to show her potential guilt in the playing of the former queen’s death. Why run if she wasn’t guilty? Why hide in Taviora? There was no reason for it at all, she had played a paw in that mess but for what reason Istas couldn’t say.

What took a long time for him to return was indeed the fact that he and Renegade got into a fight. Istas wanted some attention before returning home and Renegade was the only one to give it. For some reason he refused did he not enjoy it? Then he got upset saying something about being used before storming off and he never came back. Istas just didn’t understand what he did wrong, he thought he enjoyed his company too and he had been trying to sort out that mystery for some time and tried to find him but to no avail. He was gone, or in hiding or both and Istas felt hurt and he didn’t really know why, he felt betrayed too, and that left him outside thinking about it and he cried over it too not sure what to make of all the feelings he couldn’t comprehend. But he had a job to do and his work had to come first, even if he didn’t feel like working.

Thankfully the new queen hadn’t kept him waiting she came up to him in her pure fightening vigor causing the ghostly wolf to shift uncomfortably on his paws. Damn she was terrifying…. But she was boss now and really she hadn’t hurt him… yet, and right now Ren hurt him more than any girl ever had even if it hadn’t been physically. He shook the thought from his mind as she asked him what he found and he wasn’t going to keep the lady waiting anymore.


”My suspicions were correct, Empress, she was hiding within Taviora. They are keeping her safe, but for why I don’t know. She escaped me in the many trees and I coud not pick her up after that, not that I think she would have let me ask questions anyway. I believe her fleeing shows her guilt; she had a part to play in the death of the former queen. What… I cannot say, but why run if you are innocent? ” He says easily not aware of the closeness she shared with the Princess.

”Should I report to Lord Andras as well?” he hoped so, after all it as Andras who wanted Istas to find him originally just he gave his crown up meaning he needed permission from her. Now he wanted to tell him his findings and really he wanted some… male company even if he wouldn’t get affection praise would have been nice from the king. He always did seem to appreciate his skills.
