Cut 3 acres of grass every Saturday morning and chores. Stop at BK in front of SIS before hitting the dusty driveway. Looking for Big Johns camper. Pits packed. Always browse what was for sale under the stands. Walk out from under the stands and see flaggers up on the stand. To the right was Big John and his group. Sit by the Bill Harts family, across the steps was Jim Shirey's fans. Al Paradise selling the Mid American Auto Racing News for 50 cents. Man behind me always gave me the scoop what was going on with the race teams during the week. America flag circling the track, then "we will, we will rock you". Watch 20-28 supermodifies on any given Saturday night. Stock cars with full fields. The smell, roar, crowd on it's feet. A awesome time. Wheels screeching. Paul Schaefer on site to report the cautions. Afterwards head into the pits to see the cars and stars. By then my mom was pooped out and made that 90 minute ride home. Just some of the things that took place on a Saturday.
