Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Time was ticking, and Riot still had more packs to scope out before Winter hit. He wasn't certain it would work out that way, but he was going to try. The further into Winter it got, the less his chances were. Riot would survive -- make no mistake -- but he didn't like to use all that energy on that alone when he had such aspirations to be great. To have a rank and be something here. Thus, he had to find the right pack that would give him what he needed. On he went to seek out those he had not gotten to yet. So here he was, moving along to find out what he could.

The best way to find out the most information was to find a group and scoot on in to listen and ask questions. Yes, there was risk in the fact that the group he moved towards was within the packlands, but it was a group, and for that reason he thinks that he will be seen as less of a threat. He couldn't take on that many wolves and perhaps that would keep him safe. Riot sought only information as to the workings of the packs and their alphas so he could decide which pack might be the best for him. And this was one of the newer packs as far as a new leader went, if the rumors had been correct.

He moves ever closer, dipping his head to each wolf present in turn before looking at the male that seemed to be the most dominate (and wounded). Riot had seen him before, and gave a light smile. "May I inquire about how you plan to rule, what is expected of your members? What you offer them in return for their hard work?" It was forward and to the point, because that was how Riot liked it to be. Time was going, Winter was coming, and he didn't want to waste time with pleasentries that could be done later at leisure.
