Another day, another season, another time; it didn't matter. Any space of time was too much. Braylen had finally gotten Isobel and their son home safely but each morning he still drifted to the shores of Paradise, his blue eyes distant as he studies the outline of the Crossing. He had spent so many days searching; scouring every inch of the land calling until his voice hoarse but still the painted stallion was not satisfied.
Today was different though and the brute shook his head with indecision as he paced across the open expanse of sand; the crashing water filling his ears. Finally with a snort he sent his broadened body into the salty clutches of the sea and made the swim back to the Crossing. He wasn't sure what he would find there, if anything. But Braylen could not deny that he had to at least look or he would be restless for days to come.
Eyes bright and alert with his ears forward and cautious, the stallion ventured through the Commons first before cutting through the Meadow until he reached the Falls. He skirted the edge of the Peak, his nostrils flaring to see if he could catch a familiar scent but found nothing. As the day progressed, Braylen became less hopeful and as he walked back through the Falls with the sun now directly overhead, his head was down and his eyes darkened with disappointment.
Suddenly he paused, his nostrils flaring as he drank in a new scent he had crossed. Raising his head, he cast his gaze towards where the scent was leading before his hooves slowly began to follow. As he progressed the scent became stronger and stronger and his legs carried him faster until finally a nicker escaped his lips. He had picked up Georgiana's scent along with the soft smell of foal but among the trees he couldn't see them.
