Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

It didn't surprise her that the other female seemed, well, surprised. Her question had been a rather strange one for all intents and purposes, but it had felt right to at least ponder the thought out loud. Besides, Cersei didn't really have anybody left at home. Her family had made quick work of departing Glorall's shores and now, she felt an unshakable emptiness in the area surrounding her den. Her father's den had been filled in, too: it had been seeing it done that had made her curl up for some days, hiding away in the dark confines as she caught her breath. Out here, at least, she had the option of having somebody around. Anybody would do, really. It was merely luck, she supposed, that had the stranger staying rather than running.

Silence continued for several moments before the hushed footsteps of another drew her attention. Cersei had been wrapped up in her own thoughts for so long that she was caught off guard momentarily when the dark stranger emerged, taking his position a short while away with his own questions. She nodded to him in silent greeting, though she eyed him wearily for a split second or two to ensure he did not carry with him some kind of... sinister aura. She had always been warned about males, after all, particularly with the coming cold. Still, she felt at least somewhat safe. In fact, she cracked the tiniest of smiles at his question, narrowing her eyes in thought as she mulled over her own theories. It was when she rocked back on her paws and moved to speak that the other cut in, her words captivating Cersei's attention immediately.

As the stranger spoke, Cersei imagined each word as they were spoken. She imagined an ugly brute of a thing wooing a beautiful she-wolf, and she imagined them all lifting off the very earth and into the sky. It made her grin, a grin of awe, and a genuine grin for the first time in what seemed like so very long. It was when the story finally ended that she came back down from her world of imagination, taking a moment of silence before looking back to the strange woman.

"You've no need to apologize. I've never heard a story like that. How does one call upon Tor? I've never seen her, but I think I want to now."

She gave a little chuckle of her own, though her words bore a certain seriousness to them. Anything that promised some kind of hope might be useful, and who knew, maybe this stranger had knowledge Cersei could not even dream of. As for the male? Well, him too. She looked to him with a look of inquisition, grinning a little bit sheepishly to herself.

"And here I was thinking that maybe the mountains to the north were grinding up rocks and earth and sending them down to the ocean."

She had always imagined the mountains as some monstrous beast but, well, she had to admit - the idea of a beautiful woman looking down on them, ready to help at any moment, seemed much more reassuring.
