Mother’s wavering existence in his life had never been an easy for him, heck he was barely older than the girls were went their first pulled a disappearing act. Then again wasn't sure if mother would approve of the decision to return to Spirane with his younger sisters it toe.

It had hurt him to leave with Myra first, especially when the change on leadership may stir some of their long lost siblings to reappear, however Myra was farther disable than any of them. She couldn't hear, speak, or understand. At least they had a place to rest their heads now, but he couldn't afford the rest at the moment. Even in this crooked world of confusion, he had to carry on, even if he wasn't sure how long he'd have to stay awake. He had honestly considered himself lucky that Myra had been easy to find. However Cinder was out, if she had been with Myra he would have taken too right then and there. When he had found her she earnestly came to his side and touching his cheek, he immediately responded by leaning into the touch. Though his grogginess he noticed Cinder to be a bit on edge, snapping and baring teeth at whatever made noise; but his mind was far too foggy to upkeep a conversation and walk at the same time.

A doe crosses their path from a thicket that was hiding her, before he begins the ascent to the den that he and his siblings were born in.
