He waited, that clever mind forever ready to pull apart each sentence and word and intention offered by the other, his scientific mind content to relish each and every spoken word if only for the delight of the challenge is possessed. Spirane is a large pack, a busy pack and while Pan surely has no lack of duty to perform he is often given to find that the brilliance of his mind seeks further challenge, one often found in strangers, those unfamiliar to himself, those whom he has not yet learned to read through scientific means. After all, each and every personality can be deduced, a wolf and his motives and patterns readily decipherable into a pattern of behaviour and as such Pan is given to find ready intrigue in any he has not yet profiled, particularly those he believes to be in possession of suitable intellect as the one before him. It is rare, truly, for Pan to ever believe another is suitable to rival his own superior intellect, the gleaming golden boy having out grown his peers before the age of one and while he does not believe the male before him to be as so glorious of mind as himself he is willing to admit, perhaps, that the male before him is entirely worthy of his time- if only for the silence and care with which he listens. The intelligent ones always listen.

“The ranks here are a tiered system, the Queen will ask of your talents or skills and place you accordingly within the pack, each rank has a higher rank above it to be worked towards, tasks will be assigned to you according to your rank to help you prove your skill and loyalty and rise higher. In my opinion a continued presence and dedication to your duties will see you rise quickly if that is what you desire. Each rank holds its own challenges. There is a place for everyone. In regards to other packs, I have studied the history of this land and the packs within it extensively. While the ranks within packs hold different names you will find each pack will promote you for loyalty and completion of tasks- the tasks and the difficulty of them however will depend on the Alpha.”

It is a wordy sentence once more and yet one in which each word holds place and meaning and cause, Pan rarely ever given to offer words that do not require meaning or import, strange black eyes held upon his companion all the same. At his inquiry as to whether or not his information had been informative he is merely given to offer a sharp nod in return, already assured to some extent that his words had been entirely informational and yet appreciation for his art was never unwarranted.

“I would not be Hand of the Queen if I did not know what occurred within my pack nor held understanding of its structure and inner workings. I am not surprised to hear others do not understand- I am the most superior of advisors in these lands- at least, that is my hypothesis.”

He allows a smile of sorts to cross his lips, a touch of humour it would seem at such bold words, unclear whether he takes them entirely seriously or not and yet perhaps displaying some modicum of good nature beneath his often overly factual demeanour.

“I assume you are travelling onward now to inspect the other packs. Be wary of Asteraia, there wolves hold….different desires, in Diveen your blood will be judged but the packs leader is fair and the pack is powerful, Taviora is a respectable place and its structure is stable, Glorall has just changed hands and is yet to show it’s colours, Iromar is changing it’s image…slowly and perhaps there is something there to be found for you. Good hunting as they say, young one.”

It is a simple head nod and no more that Pan is content to offer by way of parting, waiting for the other to take his leave before turning upon his heel to pace away and back up into the mountains.
