Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Laying low had been his goal the last time he was here, which was about.. five years ago, he thinks. Five years ago he had killed his father in these lands and left like some silent ghost some weeks later. It did not seem like that long ago, but he had clung to this fact for a long time, because it made him feel better. He felt justified in what he had done and why. He still felt that way about it now, even. For all the pain that had been caused.. this was the way it should be.

Normal was not something that Mockingbird could claim. Not at any point in his life, because for his scent he had always been set apart from others. An oddity that they couldn't explain. Mockingbird supposed it could have been amazon genetics trying to spare him what should have been death in a tribe, an anomaly that could have been of interest and speculation there. Who knew, really? There was no tribe, just... disdain.

The female finally made herself known in more than a growl, and Mockingbird gave her a calm look over. He was searching, so it was normal for him to want to have a look. He was curious, and he supposed that anyone who could see past his odd scent was a possiblity, right? At least this was how he saw it, and he would proceed accordingly. See if she was too weirded out by how strange he was or not.

Ears swiveled at her response, the fact that she said the growl wasn't at him but at herself. He couldn't see why she'd be growling at herself, but he let it go. It was her business, not his. He was cool with that thought. Eclissi, she called herself. Then she was asking about him. "Mockingbird, I was born in Judila before the meteor hit, which is why it is no more these days. I've been away a long time." He responded evenly, giving her a thoughtful look.

Not from around here. That could be a good thing. Or a bad one, if his family still thrived in these parts. "Do be careful around here, Eclissi. There are those that would eat you for less than a growl. Cannibals live in these lands." He doesn't mean to scare her, just warn her of the dangers of being out here and not having been born in these lands to grow up learning it's dangers.
