Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She watched him with a hooded gaze, her eyes narrowing as she shifted her body slightly, her legs tucking beneath her a bit more, pushing her shoulders back, and causing her to sit straighter. This simple change in stance was a big change from her earlier posture, one that showed weakness, one that was lacking in the truth. This showed power, despite a small size, showed perseverance, showed strength. His words came towards her slowly, and her eyes raised. The emotion within subtly shifted. They no longer held fear, or timid, they were strong, they were coy. She stood up when he paused, stretching her neck as she chuckled. The feminine sound rustling the airwaves between them. She stretched, as if his presence was a simple, fickle thing that she could not be bothered with.

I fear it seems I won this round, because you, were tricked by a mere..girl.” Her soft voice rang true, a snide edge to it as she spoke, her eyes narrowing as she began to circle him, instead. It was a bit of a powertrip, to be honest, but none the less, Renai was enjoying this. The male seemed to have really believed that she was this meek, powerless thing that couldn’t stand up to anyone, or anything for that matter. Well, Renai was bred of thicker stuff than that. She may have been the runt of the litter, but she was tough as nails and would bite anyone who dared say of her otherwise.

She circled him once, before slowing to a stop before him, gold-grey eyes twinkled with a spark of mischief in them. Oh, she couldn’t wait to see what he thought of the new her.
