Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

This is my Fate.

It was strange being pulled two ways. Part of me was thinking I needed to move on as quickly as possible, the other anchored me to the spot while I tried to figure out just what was going on. This strange feeling, I knew what it had to be instantly but I had no idea who at this meeting that had caused it. He heard a few female voices and scents, one particularly stood out to to beyond all else. He drew breath allowing it to fill his lungs before exhaling he knew he would never forget the smell so long as he lived and it wouldn’t be his choice to forget it either. Haziel didn’t have a doubt in his mind, he had to have imprinted. What else could this strange feeling be but that, it surely wasn’t a warmth filling him because he felt at home. It was far from especially after this new alphas speech. But still he was held here though he wanted to turn and walk away, and he started too, but slowly a bit more uncertainly. It wasn’t because his lack of vision though it was his lack of certainty in his decision. He wanted to know who it was, he thought on that scent he might have detected Malina. She had children, but he couldn’t recall their names at the moment, he left the season they were born after all.

He moves off from the group slightly, he tried to scent where she had gone but apparently she might have moved on from the area. Females have varying amounts of pull towards their imprints and he wasn’t sure how much she had or if she felt it at all. But she hadn’t gone far, her scent still surrounded him. It smelled like the mist of the ocean combined with spice bush, of course, he knew who it was then soon as he smelled the faint scent of bird kill upon her. Alcmene he thought she called herself. It rung a bell within his mind, she was Malina’s, and that was strangely comforting but he didn’t know why. Either way it seemed he wouldn’t have to find her as her scent started bearing down on him. He wanted to say something to encourage her to come closer but it seemed he didn’t need to.

When she said his name he paused he looked in her general direction doing what he thought was polite and wouldn’t be as noticeable by any straggling members that may have prying eyes. Right now he didn’t trust any of them not when it seemed the new alpha did not approve of wolves with ‘weakness’. His black ears twitched listening to her every step, he took another deep in inhale of her scent again feeling relaxed and softened though parts of him still wished to be tense. If Malina was indeed her mother he didn’t doubt his next actions, she knew the latin language and her mate was a demon and thus surely she had been brought up knowing it. Her voice was almost shy and certainly a bit nervous. He didn’t understand why, around her he felt simply at ease naturally though did she know? Did she understand he was blind and would he treat him normally. Time would tell for now he wanted to move.

" Alcmene, tu loqueris it?""Alcmene, do you speak it?" He asks before motioning ahead, it was strange not doing a normal greeting, he heard her name though and she obviously had heard his. "Placet ambulabunt mecum.""Please walk with me. “ He knew that many spoke it nowadays but most prying ears he didn’t think would know it. He moved forward walking towards where his old den was looking forward to getting to know her. Haziel moved without hesitation and with the grace of the angels but tempered with having needed careful quiet paws. Being silent was something he had to be, he couldn’t make a mess of noise when trying to walk about the lands when he mostly relied on scent and sound. Though he had his limitations, something training with Malina would mostly eliminate in time with at least wolfish opponents. Once they were a distance away from where they meeting had taken place he felt he could speak a bit more freely though admittedly what may have been awkward silence fell between them as they walked he didn’t think so, just her presence was nice to have around, as odd as that was, he never really took to anyone’s presence, only confirming his belief they were imprints.

”You know what we are, right? You feel it too?” He had to know if it was just him or not that felt the draw he closed his eyes, mearly a normal reaction taking in her scent once more, though not drawing it as obviously before he knew he needed to turn and quickly went in her direction bumping into her slightly. ”Sorry.” He mumbled still herding himself towards his den, he didn’t know she was lingering so close to him, not many moved right alongside him as he walked like this, not since Vise and even he kept his distance slightly. But what was most strange as the warm that had followed, rumors were right, imprinting was simply inexplicable.

To see with eyes unclouded by hate.
Haziel.
