Word has reached me of the passing of Mable Shullick.
I did not know Mable personally but I want to express my condolences to George Pat and all the Shullick family...
Mable Lucille Shullick (nee Blake), 81, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness.
She was born February 22, 1934 in Gem, West Virginia and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 50 years moving from Lorain.
Mable was part of a car racing family, so she enjoyed going to the races and watching NASCAR.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Shullick of Vermilion; sons, George (Kimberly) Shullick and Patrick (Kimberly) Shullick both of Vermilion; daughter, Debbie Eahle of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister ChiChi Blake of Florida; and brothers, Harold Gene Blake of Virginia and John Blake of CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Freda (nee Steele) Blake; son Tony Shullick in 2006; and brother, Homer Shullick.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 am. at the funeral home. The Reverend Jim Smucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
