Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

This is my Fate.

He had to admit, he had grown attached to the small family that he had helped take care of. Everlyse would have likely died without his help and thus Semele would have grown without a mother, though maybe it would have been better with that crazy woman around, but she seemed like she was doing fine. But one of the things like liked best about the family was they took him as he was, no questions about his inability to see or his coloring that everyone else seemed to just shoot him down immediately for. That or his blindness it seemed to be one stigma or the other never anything less most of the time. Well Alcmene was one of few who took him as he was, but she was his imprint, that made things different. Her mom was hesitant about training him because of his blindness but he was proving himself in time.

“I never have met her, but I heard she is a kind queen I am sure she will accept your family. Spirane sounds…. Nice though.” He says answering her concern she was worried but really she had no reason to be. Spirane was one of the packs that seemed like it would welcome nearly everyone. He shifted settling back to his haunches knowing he would be here for a while and for some weird part of him he figured he would be let go for a very long while. Not that he minded he didn’t have much to do bt she was giving him an idea on what he wanted to do. All treaties between the old packs and two newly fallen and taken over packs makes him aware ta should something go wrong that perhaps he would be on the opposite side. Alcmene’s father at the very least was in Spirane too so it solidified which pack he would be going to complete his task to become the peace maker or Glorall. It was funny the paths that life lead him on, soon he would be the most well rounded trained wolf in Moladion. Healing, Fighting, Diplomacy? Maybe there would be some thieving and hunting in his future too. Hunting might be a bit out of his league, he would probably be an amazing tracker for a hunter though. Small game he ambushed was usually about as far as he could go. Or fawns if he was lucky.

It was beside the point though his little child friend he supposed he could call her was sad that he could take care of himself. He knew she knew, but it was a bit of a soft spot for him. He didn’t want anyone taking care of him, he was more than happy with just not having to deal with anyone else regarding that. He brushed his paw roughly where she was sitting wishing to give her a playful nudge before their conversation continued. He was happy she liked her new home though some of her descriptions escaped him the bird song sounded nice and the strong scented trees sounded nearly too good to be true. He knew pines smelled strongly perhaps the mountain was full of them. He was happy she liked it though, it sounded like a nice paradise for the family and perhaps they would move on from the past as well. He had to wonder if Reich made any strides to being ‘more’ with Everlyse or if Everlyse wanted anything more after Ifrit. He hoped so, the red brute was detrimental to her health and though he was sure she was heartbroken it felt forced sometimes, as though she had no choice. Fate though didn’t give her much of a choice, but at the very least Reich wasn’t biting and snapping at her. He gave a little sound of approval from his throat his tail giving a few passive flicks.

Semele leaned against him, one of the few creatures in the world he would ever allow to touch him like that. He shifted a bit uncomfortable, but then settled himself down as she asked him where he had gone. Calumny statements were below him. He didn’t’ have all the truth yet but Eden may be something Haziel might not like or get along with. He may not, he didn’t like weakness and he ad to wonder what would happen to someone that didn’t get through their weakness. Death maybe? But he had no proof so Haziel was content to say what he did know about his home. "Glorall is where I live now. It was my old home before Asteraia. I like it, but it changed leaders just before Asteraia did… It is different but I still prefer it to anywhere else right now.” He wondered for a moment when she said something about others. “A few. And it’s not too far from Spirane.” He didn’t want to elaborate on it very much. He met Alcmene but no one else so far have really caught his eye. Maybe he would go back to Diveen if life there wouldn’t work but for now he was content in his Seaside pack home.

Though when she mentioned wanting to be a healer like him he actually had a genuine smile cross his maw. < font color=6e2c23>“”I bet you would make a wonderful healer, Semele. Probably one of the best someday I bet, I would be great to have the job of being the one to get you there. He says knowing with that meant he would have to probably take multiple trips to Spirane, even more of a reason to take the pact. He wasn’t sure about Glorall’s healers as they stood now, for all he knew he was the only one capable of the job there, time would tell. But he knew he was the only one that he wanted to teach her.

“You ever been to Diveen?” He asked her wondering if perhaps she could meet with his old teacher too. Meryl had been a good teacher and was probably the second best healer in Moladion, or first. Moth and he were both quite renowned for their healing abilities and Haziel wanted to bed that someday Semele would be up there with them given a bit of time. He wasn’t sure, he wanted to teach her himself but Meryl was a god extra step and he was overly nice… just like her, Haziel was sure they would get along great. She had to get all the training she could if she wanted to be the best healer out there.

To see with eyes unclouded by hate.
Haziel.
