Glaesfaet Sceawere is the name gifted to the mother river that flows through the center of Blossom Forest, bringing life and sustenance to all of the lands. It breaks off in many places, giving birth to smaller streams and estuaries, but the main body flows from the lake high in the north in Dierne Hrof all the way south down through Uyaraut to empty into the ocean. It is a fresh water river, but down through Uyaraut, the salt water does taint it. In places, parts of the river are underground and run through caverns unseen from aboveground.

Water buffalo grace these shores - with plenty of meat, though at a dangerous cost. Many river trout leap upstream daily.

The Sharp Dressed Woman with a Chainsaw

I'm meddling with murderers who still deserve to pay for their insanity,

Anger had flowed through her, as she was still offended by being told she was the wrong color. Her tongue lapped at the cool river water, trying to avoid eye contact with the giant nearby. Kanaya didn't want to constantly pull the tough and mighty appearance as that wasn't the nicer side of her. The femme had actually hated to show her mean side, especially around someone she had an interest in for a friendship or whatever. Kanaya decided to forgive.

The feya turned towards the colossal and when she was about to speak, he spoke, his yellow eyes staring into her jade. "i apologize. You... You caught me by surprise. I was expecting someone else... I think." She was about to nod an okay until he said I think. Huh? She thought. Confusion and again, slight anger filled her up, and those emotions stayed for a while. The brute then spoke once more, following a soft growl. "Your coat is beautiful, Kanaya. I apologize." Again, the thought Huh? passed through her mind again, but this had different meaning. One of, 'What is this? A compliment from someone other than my mother?' Kanaya's cheeks warmed up, and her ears went back, but not in anger. The embarrassment had decided to be the main feeling. "It's o-okay..." She stuttered, turning back and facing the river.

Kanaya had never felt embarrassment around a stranger, so it was awkward for her. From childhood, she wanted to be perfect. No flaws, no mistakes, ya know. Her jade orbs showed her getting lost in her own mind, as she mentally beat herself up for being such a fool in front of whoever this guy was. Kan could feel his eyes gazing into her bodice, reading everything that they could. What was this guy's name though?

"I am Hurricane of Mexico." The charcoal brute next to her said, as if he could read her mind. She looked up at Hurricane, to find that his eyes again were looking into hers, but he seemed confused by his own words. The ess got up, turned about 90 degrees, and sat back down, her tassel laying nicely next to the auburn. A smile decorated her face, her narrower canines sticking out slightly. "Nice to meet you. Would you prefer a nickname that I could call you? Like Hurricane, or Mexico, or something shorter than the whole thing?" Kanaya was trying to be nice. The auburn skirted lass had a suspicion about this guy, but not a bad one. She just didn't want to get off on the wrong paw if she had mentioned it.

and though I'm one of them, I'm rarest of my kind, for many fell but only I arose.

"Look at all the many colors, so exquisitely embroidered," She soothed, cradling the pup in her warm bodice.
