Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife.

They stand for some time on the mountainside, her golden ears pricked forward as her call fades in to the cool winter air and she awaits whomever would join them. Daenerys had request that she bring along at least one member of the mountain pack that was younger than the age of three. To be honest she had not socialized with much of the pack. Their arrival here was so quick, followed by her pregnancy and thereafter a debilitating tiredness. Ultimately it had left her with a small circle of friends and many puppy teeth biting on her legs. She wouldn’t have traded it for anything, however, she loved her life. Standing here with her heart and soul by her side she was happier than ever, glowing like the sun Ragnarok so often compared her to.

For quite some time no one came, no responding calls went up and she worried that she would fail her first task and no one would come. Finally another form crests the horizon, her aquamarine eyes narrowing to watch the approach of a dark girl with a smattering of white on her lower body. She moves haltingly over the ground, clearly not familiar with the mountainous terrain and that would no doubt make this all the more interesting. A bright smile crosses her black lips, her golden tail waving in welcome as she finally approaches. She notes the way her breathing comes in huffs, the stress of climbing up here no doubt, her dark nose twitches inhaling her scent. She smelt of the pack, and yet there is an underlying saltiness that denotes she spent some time with the sea-side pack Glorall. Interesting, well she would have to get used to the heights and thin air if she hoped to call this place home.

At her words a golden ear twitches, noting the lack of…enthusiasm in her words but at least someone had come. Her smile doesn’t falter, the butterflies in her stomach giving a tumble at the hope that all goes well. “Hello Cinder, thank you for coming. My name is Church, and this is my mate Ragnarok.” She motioned toward her moon with a bob of her head before turning her gaze back to Cinder. “Follow me, some of the best hunting grounds in the packlands are just ahead.” She brushed alongside her moon, pressing her nose into his neck before heading toward the grounds ahead. Luckily for Cinder the trail from here was relatively flat. Her steps were near silent as the trio kept a moderate pace, her sea-green eyes scanning the land around them for any movement indicating their prey’s whereabouts. She changes course only slightly as she spies a herd of bighorn sheep just over the next rise.

Spirane was no easy hunting grounds. The land was sparsely dotted with trees, bunching together in some places but providing no true cover. The bushes provided the best vantage points and as they drew nearer she stuck to those with her slender body slung low, knowing that the two behind her would do the same. She stops only when they are a few lengths away from them, taking cover in the brush on the edge of their clearing. Her trained eyes scan the herd, sorting through the options that were provided this day by fate. Her gaze lingers on a male of good size, with horns large and curled. A strapping suitor for the females of the bunch no doubt but he walked with a limp in his rear leg that, on this day, marked him.

She indicates their target with a nod of her head and a focusing of her gaze before motioning for them to remain here. She skirts the border of the clearing, floating silently like a ghost over the rocky terrain until she is cattycorner to the pair but with a leap she will be before her prey. She readies herself, her breath slowing as her claws flex in to the soft ground for purchase. Every muscle in her body pulls tight and her world minimizes to the ram until she snaps like a rubber band. She is grace, belied by her form, and she veritably flies in her element for the first time in months as she makes a straight dive at the beast. He is prey and his first instinct will be to flee, this she knows even as the other sheep scatter like a river between rocks around them. His eyes widen and he makes the same move, however as she had hoped he makes for the brush where her pack mates hide. She snaps at his heels, urging him on and driving him fleeing toward her pack mates with a smile on her face and a glint of excitement in her eye.
