He wasn't just any body to fill a place that meant nothing to him, and if that was what this alpha wished, then she would be mistaken in thinking he'd be interested. He has no alignment to darkness, no interest in bringing chaos here. He likes order, honestly. Wants to learn all he can and keep to his goals. He wants to go far, but he wants to be able to also respect and trust the alpha he is under. If she couldn't give those things, then this was a waste of time. Riot was already unsure on if he wanted to play her games, if that was what she was still interested in doing around him. It didn't set well with him, and Riot didn't have time to deal with the nonsense. He needed a home, and that was that.
But he calls her because he thinks she has something to say to him, and he waits. He is used to the borderlines, yes. He has been careful with learning more of the packs where he could. It was how he functioned, because not just any old place would do. He had high expectations of a pack and an alpha. Just the way he was wired, he'd suppose. He didn't expect too much here as it stood from the last few interactions, but there was always a possiblity. Still, easy was not always better. It was often enough worse. But she came to his call, and he waited calmly. She spoke, and he listened, looking at her thoughtfully and giving no indication to his feelings otherwise on the matter.
He wanted to sigh a little, but he doesn't. He faces it head-on, because that's who he was. Want a realistic non ass kissing opinion? He'd give it. She was just opening the door to that, really. "Mostly, that you have a large ego and like to play mind games. It's not a mystery, it's over-done and out-dated. My mind is very open, and I have already said I wanted to know more. You can put your ego aside and tell me, or you can tell me to leave. Up to you." There it was, out in the open for her. He wasn't some little minion to mess around with, and she wasn't impressing him but acting as she was. If she didn't like that, it would be best if she told him to get out and be done with it.
