News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i have never been
nothing

This was my job, my role, my duty, some might say my burden. To field those wolves who sought to call Spirane home, and determine if their presence upon the mountain would better the pack or endanger it. To distinguish from one or more encounters if they would meld well with those who already called the mountain home. Not every wolf would get along with each member of Spirane – in fact I had accepted the quarreling sibling to my bloodrider only weeks prior. But I did not expect every wolf to go about their days loving each and every individual within the pack lands. As I had told Iscariot, I only expected them to respect one another. To remain loyal to the pack and to honor their home by treating it and those within it fairly, while perhaps finding friendship where it came naturally. In the end, I was the nexus that held the pack together, the one wolf that I knew all members of the pack trusted and enjoyed on some level, else we would quickly crumble. This was a task I did not mind, something I enjoyed doing. I was a sociable creature, and enjoyed conversation. Iscariot had intrigued me from the first, and I found myself even more interested in him as our conversation progressed.

It would seem his interest in Spirane had not faltered as we continued our discussion, and I mentioned that fact. He confirmed my suspicions and paid my home and myself a compliment and I nodded modestly in response. I then continued to point out that there was a place for him here, and a rank that he might find suitable to work towards. His never-ending quest for information did not fail him here, as he asked for further information about such a rank and what it would require to attain it. He truly wished to have all the cards on the table before he made his final decision, and while I respected that I would keep at least one to myself.

Nevertheless, I would not keep him entirely in the dark. “The rank I spoke of is known as the pack’s Spider. It is a mastery title. A demonstration of your ability to steal is required, though good judgment also comes into play there. You must also exhibit an ability to cloak your identity, as well as attain worthwhile secrets from beyond Spirane’s borders.” It was a rough brush over of the tasks that Natu had completed before she had ascended to the rank, and I believed they would apply well here. The particulars would be saved for another day, once Iscariot had made his final decision. Mahogany eyes regarded him, for there did not seem much else to speak of. It was not my place to pressure him into making his choice. He had told me that Spirane and one other pack still stood out to him in his contemplation.

I daresay you have gleaned about as much information about my pack as any lone wolf should be allowed. Unless there is anything else, I will leave you now to contemplate your preferences.” As always, I was only a howl away. I watched him for a moment, dipping my head in farewell when he was ready to take his leave if that was what he chose to do.

(ooc: figured we could wrap up this thread; she may come to the kal/riot thread. (; )
