Sandusky Speedway Hires New Flagman for 2015 Racing Season
During an employee meeting on Saturday afternoon, it was announced by Sandusky Speedway general manager Douglas Dock that David Kopcho would take over as the speedway's flagman for 2015. Kopcho has been an intermittent fixture at the speedway during the past seasons. The Sandusky native will serve as chief starter for the speedway's four weekly racing divisions as well as serving in that position for traveling series that visit the speedway as he is needed.
Speedway owner Kevin Jaycox was very complimentary of both Kopcho and the rest of his staff when asked about the move on Saturday. "David has been around the speedway for a number of seasons now and we are glad that he decided to take this often thankless position of flagman for the speedway's 2015 season. He is a great addition to the all-star staff that we have already announced for the Sandusky Speedway."
