Covet does not think all that well of Tesseract, but mostly he doesn't care anymore of those things. Yes, the alpha had tried to cut short his visit with his mother, had run Solitaire off in the same day, but Covet was over such things. He might be inclined to try and eat the male if ever he came across him again, but he wasn't going to seek the guy out, either. He just did not care enough. If things had been worse, then maybe he would have cared. But everyone was left physically unharmed as far as he could tell, and Covet had been able to at least see his mother and two of three siblings there. But it had been years, and Tristan had had seen the least of.
Not that it mattered now, because he still wanted to reconnect with his family on some level and see how they were doing. See how Enigma was doing. Her scent simply does not linger here, however. Perhaps she had moved on, but he doesn't know what had happened. He was one to find out here and now, though. Not before the creeping feeling takes over to tell him someone is outside his vision but close. Covet's head swings around to look, observing the female moving closer from behind. Viora. Her face is easy to recognize, and his ears flick towards her as she speaks. Covet gives a slow nod to what she has said, and the inky voids of his eyes revert back to Tristan again.
He speaks, and Covet also notices the change in stance when Viora had arrived. They were not on good terms by the look of it, by how Viora managed to keep the furthest from Tristan. He doesn't comment on how her approach denotes a type of fear that she probably doesn't know she has, and he leaves it alone entirelly for now. Later he might ask of it, but now was not the time. There was no time for an answer in those seconds either, as someone else had shown up. Solitaire was there amoung them, and Covet is surprised to find the whole litter here. How that had gotten this way was a surprise from what he remembered, but it wasn't a bad thing.
Covet gave a nod to the last brother, then looked back to Tristan again in order to reply. He had seen the hope in Tristan's eyes, but this was not his way. It never had been, not really. He had been packless most of his life and didn't know if he would ever need one. He shook his head. "No, I do not think pack life is for me. I'll be around, and perhaps I will be accepted as a visitor here from time to time, but I'm not really a team player." And that was the truth of it. He wasn't sure he could commit to anything like this, because he would certainly cause trouble with his habits, and packs did not look fondly on such habits as Covet was known to have.
